“A child that is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.”

Do you know what Restorative Justice is?

Picture two lives, seemingly torn apart by the weight of a felony, finding a path to understanding and redemption. This is the journey - a restorative justice journey called Accountability and Restoration Conferencing (ARC) - we embark on with them, and it is profoundly effective.

First, we stand with those who have been harmed, helping them to unravel the profound impact of the offense. Together, we uncover their deepest needs, paving the way for the most meaningful and comprehensive healing possible.

Next, we walk alongside those who have caused harm, guiding them towards a deep and honest reckoning with their actions. We teach them how to take true responsibility and embark on the path of making amends.

Finally, we unite both parties in a shared quest for transformation. Our goal is to ensure that the echoes of the harm do not spiral into further suffering. Instead, we strive for a resolution where both sides emerge stronger, fostering a cycle of understanding and peace rather than one of continued pain.

In every step, we are dedicated to turning moments of darkness into opportunities for profound change, allowing all involved to move forward with hope and renewed purpose.

EARLY EMBRACE: Empowering Caregivers, Transforming Communities

For those living in public housing, lack of access to affordable childcare often stands between them and stable employment, further entrenching the cycle of poverty. Early Embrace steps into this narrative as a business accelerator with a mission of transformation and hope.

We recognize the untapped potential within caregivers—both early childhood educators and parents—who care deeply for children in families in extreme poverty. Early Embrace is more than just a business accelerator; it's a lifeline for women aspiring to build early childhood education businesses right in their homes. Through our comprehensive and supportive approach, we offer coaching resources in these essential areas:

  • Small Business Development: Guiding caregivers through the nuances of running a small business.

  • Education: Training caregivers with the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional early childhood education.

  • Childcare Licensure: Step-by-step support to help providers meet all regulatory requirements.

  • Start-up/Enhancement Grants: Helping cover initial costs or to enhance existing childcare services.

  • Trauma Healing: Helping caregivers overcome personal traumas, creating a healthier environment for both themselves and the children in their care.

  • Stipend: Support to alleviate financial stress, allowing caregivers to fully commit to their business and the children they serve.

Through Early Embrace, we not only address the critical need for affordable childcare but also empower women in public housing to become entrepreneurs and leaders in their communities. By investing in these caregivers, we nurture an environment where children can thrive, parents can pursue employment, and entire communities can rise out of poverty. Early Embrace is the story of turning challenges into opportunities and potential into prosperity.
